Program Outline

This accredited program (which follows the training standards set out by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities) can be completed over a 5 month period of time beginning in either September or February. It includes 330 hours of in-class instruction,  90 hours of supervised clinical workplace experience, 270 hours of co-op/consolidation workplace experience (with both long-term care and community placements), and 6 senior secondary school credits towards the Ontario Secondary Diploma requirements.

Based on sufficient enrollment, program locations are as follows:

  • Cornwall
  • Smiths Falls
  • Brockville
  • Vankleek Hill

Our Information sessions for the fall 2019 Personal Support Worker program have been set. Information sessions will be running in Brockville, Cornwall, Smiths Falls and Vankleek Hill at locations yet to be confirmed. These programs will run based on sufficient enrollment beginning September 9th, 2019. Come on out to see if becoming a Personal Support Worker may be a career for you.

Vankleek Hill- Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 from 3-4 p.m. at St Jude Catholic Elementary School

Cornwall- Wednesday, May 15th 2019 from 2-3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School

Brockville- Thursday, May 16th 2019 from 3-4 p.m. at St Mary Catholic High School

Smiths Falls- Friday, May 17th 2019 from 2-3 p.m. at St James Catholic Education Centre.
